Genevieve Salwach

Gene Salwach, nee Johnson of Elgin formerly of Schaumburg and River Grove; wife of the late Joseph, Sr.; mother of Susan (Dennis) Max, Nancy (Mike) Livermore, Joseph, Jr. (Patty) and Patti Salwach; grandma of Michelle (Dan) Yirku, Mike (April) Jackson, Natalie (Scott) McBride, BriAnne (Brian) Siwek; great grandma of Connor, Nichole, Carissa, Tristan, Aly, Caden and Makayla; sister of Lorraine (late Pete) Kope, Mildred "Millie" (late Fred) Zarembka, late Dorothy "Dot" (late Dick) Lipkie and the late Edwin, Jr. She also had a soft spot for all of her grand dogs. Gene had a great sense of humor. She loved to shop and travel all around the world. A dedicated employee, for over 35 years, working the night shift at Mars Candy Co. All of the grandchildren and great grandchildren loved receiving the best hugs and kisses from their Genie Beanie. Memorial mass Saturday August 27th 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church 397 Fulton St. Elgin. Inurnment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Il.
