Visitation for Gene George Johnston, 68, of Streamwood for 37yrs. will be held Saturday 2:00p.m. until time of service 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
Born Oct. 18, 1942 in Chicago, Gene died Tuesday Aug. 2, 2011.
He is the beloved husband of Linda nee Purvis for 44yrs., loving father of Suzanne and Michelle (David); proud grandfather of Justin, Kaitlin, Kyle and Jenna.
Preceded in death by his mother Inez Vernett McKenney, Grandmother, step-father, George McKenney and three step-brothers.
Formerly of Chicago, Gene was previously employed by Polk Bros. and BFI/E&E Hauling.
