Gary Lauer

Gary A. Lauer of Bartlett lost his 5 year battle with cancer on Sunday December 25, 2011 at his home with his beloved wife by his side. Gary was born in Chicago in February of 1950. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Elizabeth "Betty" nee Gillette, sons Kevin of Bolingbrook, Brian of Phoenix, Az. and granddaughter Raegen. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert "Bob" and Vera nee Berg. Gary was employed for the last 13 years as the Fire Pump Product Line Manager at Xylem Inc., formerly ITT Bell & Gossett / A-C Fire Pumps in Morton Grove. Prior to that he was with ASC Pumping Equipment in Lenexa, KS. for 10 years. He was also with Aurora Pump in North Aurora,Il. for over 15 years. Visitation will be Thursday (12 / 29) from 3:00 pm until the time of services 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following services. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society 1801 S. Meyers Rd. , Ste. 100 Oakbrook Terrace, Il.
