Gary Joseph Cichon, 69, of Schaumburg for 42 years, formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully surrounded by his family April 1, 2016. Gary was the beloved husband of Kathleen Cichon (nee Condon); loving father of Brian (Jennifer) Cichon, Colleen (Dean) Jones and Kevin (Laurie) Cichon; proud grandfather of Nate, Kathryn and Trevor Cichon, Grace and Maggie Jones, Will and Paige Cichon; cherished brother of Nancy (Dennis) Brock.
Gary graduated from Loras College in 1968 and DePaul Law School in 1971. He was licensed to practice law in 1971 and worked for 45 years as an attorney for a number of title companies in the Chicagoland area. Gary was an avid fan of all Chicago sports teams that were not the White Sox, but none more so than the Cubs. In addition to his passion for sports, he loved music in most forms, starting with the Beatles. Gary was also the self-proclaimed "World's Greatest Grandpa." He even had a trophy...it was given to him.
Visitation Wednesday April 6, 3:00p.m. – 9:00p.m., service 6:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Road) Roselle.
