Visitation for Gary E. Ciancio of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Schaumburg will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Thursday 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
In his youth, he was the drummer for "The Shaggy Dogs" and enjoyed playing golf in his later years.
Gary was a franchise owner of 2 Brown's Chicken and Pasta Restaurants in Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates for over 30 years. He then worked for Exxon Mobil for 15 years. He was a great mentor and friend to many who worked for him and with him throughout the years.
He is the beloved father of Dion Ciancio and Marc (Donna) Ciancio; stepfather of Vincent (Stefanie) Ridolfo and Maria (Demetri) Koroyanis; cherished grandfather of Paige Santucci, Carlee Daigre, Isabella Ciancio, Domenic, Giuliana and Joey Ridolfo and Johnny Koroyanis; dear brother of Phil (Debi) and the late Barbara Tsouloufis; fond uncle of Terry and Russell Ciancio; former husband of Virginia and Rita.
He is loved and will be immensely missed by many!
