Garry Lott

Garry Allen Lott, 62, of Streamwood, IL passed away on November 23, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Annie; daughter Alissa (Gene) Hoffman; grandchildren Abby, Addi, Genna; son to Reba and Walter Dvorak; brother to Lawrence and Angel (Bob) Hodges and brother-in-law to Becky (Don) Insco, David (Sue) Farias, and Darlene Lott and he was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Garry was preceded in death by his father Leonard and brother Lenny.

Garry gave from his heart to many and never expected anything in return. Always putting the other guy first. He liked to fish, hike a bit and loved the long walks along the beach. He was even a bit of a jokester. He cared deeply for his daughter and the Granddaughters. He enjoyed being among family and friends. He loved animals. Such a simple man with a great big heart!

When he heard of his sickness, he wasn’t going to let that beat him. He was ready to live another 20 years. We both prayed for that miracle. Even as the sickness began taking over, he wasn’t ready to give up. The doctors then told him that there was nothing more that could be done. That didn’t stop Garry. He made every effort to try and walk and do things for himself. Garry communicated to Family and Friends as best he could through little jesters and smiles. Little did he know that that would be the last of his days here on this Earth.

We will miss him deeply and one day we will all be together again, in heaven. ‘Will you know my name, when I see you in heaven……….’.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 10:00 am until time of memorial service 12:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 S. Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103. Inurnment Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
