Fredricka Meiners

Fredricka Meiners, a beloved author and cherished member of the Bartlett community for 25 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, at the age of 84. Her presence and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Fredricka was born on Wednesday, April 29th, 1942, in Galveston, Texas. Throughout her life, she left an indelible mark on the world through her writing and adventures. As an accomplished author, she captivated readers with her vivid stories and vibrant imagination.

Fredricka was joyfully united in marriage to Paul Conway, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years. Together, they explored the world, creating lasting memories while vacationing in the Caribbean and traveling throughout Asia on work trips. Paul was not only her loving husband but also her steadfast companion on life’s journey.

Fredricka was preceded in death by her parents, John Frederick Meiners Jr. and Catherine (nee Masella) Meiners. She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul, and several cousins who will miss her dearly.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Fredricka’s life will be held at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Streamwood, located in Streamwood, IL, on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Arrangements are thoughtfully provided by Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory - Streamwood.
