Frederick W. Zolper, 74, of Arlington Heights for 12 years, died October 16, 2009.
Born March 13, 1935 in Chicago. Frederick was the son of Frederick and Barbara (nee Stelzer).
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he also enjoyed volunteering, restoring our national parks and was a member of Sierra Club.
Survivors include children Debra Jaffke, Vicki (Terry) Broaddus and Kenneth W.; grandchild Kurt Jaffke; great grandchild Dylan; brother Charles and companion Esther Bannier.
He was preceded in death by grandson Erik, parents, and his brother Robert.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, November 14 at St. Hubert Church. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 800-555-9140 or www.PVA.org.
