Frank C. Piazza, loving husband of the late Beverly, nee Binanti; dear father of Don (Mary) and Lynn (Marty) Alther; cherished grandpa of Curt (Cathy), Kimberley (Chris), Christopher, Michael (Becky), Tracy (David) and Jeff (Nina); devoted great grandpa of 14; fond brother of the late Kay (late Clarence); beloved son of the late Curso and Teressa, nee Cilluffo. Frank was the proud owner of National Suburban Refrigeration, a home appliance repair company. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, baking and cooking in the kitchen. He enjoyed making his own wine and sausage. While at Friendship Village he became known as the "Cookie Man" because he would be asked to bring his homemade cookies to various activities. He was very proud of the time he spent on the DD541, a U.S. Naval destroyer, in WWII. His wife, Beverly, was the most important person in his life followed closely by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be Friday February 21st from 11:00 am until the time of memorial mass 12:00 / noon at the Church of the Holy Spirit 1451 W. Bode Rd. Schaumburg. Inurnment will follow mass at St. Michael the Archangel. In lieu of flowers donations to the Church of the Holy Spirit would be appreciated. Cremation at the Countryside Crematory.
