Frank Cardinal

Frank A. Cardinal 81, passed on July 14, 2012.
He is survived by his children Vicki (Michael) Kirkpatrick, Christy (Bruce) Moeller, Frank Cardinal, Rick Cardinal and Jean Domain: nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters Marylou (Ray) Steele, Sandy (Robert) May, and brother Paul Cardinal.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Cardinal, mother, Santa Cardinal, sister, Josephine Barkley, and nephew, Raymond Steele.
He served in the Army Corp of Engineers, from 1951 to 1953, during the Berlin blockade and the Marshall Plan to rebuild Germany. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University and later his C.P.A. He enjoyed a private pilot license for 25 years and later became a member of the Tri Village R/Cers. In the past, he served as a Hanover Park board member for the park district.
Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2012 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., with a Catholic service at 7:30p.m. at Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett., Tuesday morning Prayers will be said at 10:30a.m. at the funeral home, burial to follow in St. Michaels Archangel Cemetery.
