Florence Vogel

Florence M Vogel, 91, of South Elgin, was reunited with her husband, in Heaven on Jan, 20, 2016. She passed away peacefully in her home with loved ones at her side.
Florence was born on May 11,1924 in Aurora IL. the daughter of the late Ella Mae Pruitt Allen, and Alden Allen.
She married Gordon "Dutch" Vogel on August 14, 1943, who preceded her in death on February 25,2014.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ginee (Ennis) Chapman, Kay Vogel, and Karen (Jeff) Edwards, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her Step-Father, Soren Sorenson, 2 Brothers, 2 Grandsons, and 1 Great Grandson.
She graduated in 1942 from Plato Center High School.
She did the bookkeeping for her husbands business, Vogel's Service Station, in Lily Lake, for many years and helped her husband operate Vogel's Musky Point Resort in Stone Lake, WI. She enjoyed working crossword and jig saw puzzles, collecting Honey Pots and going to garage sales. She was a very caring wife and Loving Mother.
The Family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice and her CNA, Emily Ronan, for the great and special care they provided
A memorial service will be at the Congregational Church Of Lily Lake, at 44W188 Empire Rd, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be held at a later date in the Lily Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers , Memorials may be made to the Congregational Church of Lily Lake.
Arrangements and cremation were handled by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, South Elgin.
