Fern L. King, 88, of Streamwood for 20 years, formerly of Deerfield, died Friday, December 4, 2009.
Born March 26, 1921 in Norfolk, NE, she was the daughter of Raymond L. and Carolyn E. (nee Fischer) Shook. Fern was devoted to her faith and her church.
Survivors include foster son Gerald Sandholm; grandchildren Rachael and Brandon King and Sarah and Timothy Sandholm; sister Shirley Worcester and aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband George, sons Richard Howard and Douglas Scott, parents, sisters Helen Kelly, Letha Ostrom and brother Mac McCole.
Memorial Service 11a.m. Friday, December 18 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1500 Old Church Rd, Streamwood. Cremation was private at the Countryside crematory.
