Evelyn Brodeur

Evelyn Barbara Brodeur, 98, went to her eternal rest peacefully, February 9 at the Assisi Health Care Center, Clare Oaks, in Bartlett. Born in Chicago on November 7, 1914 to Eugene and Mary (Hlavin) Melzer. Evelyn married Wallace E. Brodeur in Chicago 1943 and they moved to Mt Prospect, IL 1950 where they raised three children. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, and their daughter Pamela Rae (Brodeur), her parents, her siblings, Alma (William) Jilek, Esther (Clarence) Michelic, Eugene (Joan) Melzer and Bernice Melzer. She is survived by her two sons Wally (Liz) Brodeur of Bartlett, IL and Jeffrey Brodeur of Plantation, FL; grandchildren Michael, Volo, IL and Mark, Hoboken, NJ, great grandchildren Caitlyn and Lauren, sister-in-law Joan (Eugene) Melzer, Warrenville, IL and nieces and nephews Jeff (Roxie) Melzer, Oswego, IL, Phil Melzer, Massachusetts, Mary (Mike) Ryan, St. Charles, Janis (Brian) Hahn, Colorado Springs, and Karen (Scott) Martin, Glen Ellyn and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation for Evelyn will be Friday February 15, 4:00PM-8:00PM at Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns) Bartlett. Funeral private for family. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory
