Eugene Francis Leonard, beloved husband of Elaine C. (nee: Ignatowicz); loving father of Mary Beth (Thomas Nielsen) Leonard and James Patrick (Amy) Leonard; dear grandfather of Jason, Brook, James and great grandfather of 7; fond son of the late Bertram and Dorothy (nee: Koch) ; Leonard; caring brother of the late James (the late Patricia) Leonard and Mary Therese( the late Charles) Dahl.
Eugene was a Navy veteran and after being honorably discharged, he made a 39 year career with North Central Airlines (Northwest Airlines). He was a former North American President of SKAL ( promoting global travels). Eugene was also a member of Rotary, Knights of Columbus and was a 52 year active member of St. Marcelline Catholic Church.
Memorial Visitation Thursday October 26, 2023 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at The Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd., Streamwood. Funeral Mass Friday October 27, 2023 (Meet at church) 10:00am at St. Marcelline Catholic Church, 822 Springinsguth Rd,. Schaumburg. Burial will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knights of Columbus, send to St. Marcelline Church.
