Funeral services for Ethel G. Du Pont nee Gilmore of Schaumburg, formerly of Phoenix, AZ and Chicago will be held Friday, Aug., 19, 2011 at Calvary Community Church 1000 S. Springinsguth Rd. Schaumburg where she will lie in state 10:00a.m. until time of service 10:30a.m. Interment Fairview Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg.
Born June 22, 1916 in Post, TX, Ethel died Sunday Aug. 14, 2011.
A member of Caleb's Kin at Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg, she was also a longtime meber of TOPS in Schaumburg. Earlier, Ethel enjoyed modeling and acting.
Ethel is the beloved wife of the late Manuel; loving mother of Diana (Rich Ptak) Braun-Ptak of Schaumburg, Rev. Richard (Marie) of Staten Island, NY and the late John Whitby; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Tonya) Braun, Joy Braun, Richard Du Pont, Jr., and Rebekah; proud great grandmother of 4.
