Ernst Timmermann

Ernst “Ernie” G. Timmermann, 88, died July 25, 2014 surrounded by family. Ernie was the beloved husband of Arlene (nee: Precht) whom her married October 18, 1952; loving father of Nancy (Randy) Teesdale, Carol (Marty) Manship, proud grandfather of Jonathon (Thu) Teesdale, Melissa (Mark) Wilson, Natalie LaFranzo, and Suzanne LaFranzo; cherished great grandfather of Landen and Madelyn Wilson, and Evelyn Teesdale; loving brother of the late Dorothy (the late Vic) Pohlman, the late Alvin Timmermann; cherished son of the late Henry and Alma. He is also survived by his sister in law Bernice Timmermann.

An Army veteran Ernie enjoyed caring for the Living Lord Property, vegetable gardening, and spending time with his family. He also liked playing cards and fishing. Ernie worked for Nicor retiring in 1986 and was a volunteer fireman in Berkeley for 14 years.

Visitation for Ernie Sunday July 27, 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Lying in State Monday 10:00a.m. until the time of service 11:00a.m. at Living Lord Lutheran Church 1044 Congress Drive, Bartlett. Interment Bartlett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Living lord Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
