Ernest J. Scmidt, 61, of Hanover Park for 38 years, died November 8, 2008. Born December 22, 1946 in Chicago. He was the son of Ernest and Bernice, nee Grabowski, Schmidt. A veteran of the U.S Army serving in intelligence. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, wood crafting and model trains.
Survivors include wide Judy A., nee Kaminski, Schmidt of Hanover Park; daughter Stacy A. Schmidt of Pingree Grove and brother Bernest Schmidt of Addison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation Saturday 12 p.m. until time of service 2 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Cremation was private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718
