Ernest Kashnowski, a longtime resident of St. Charles, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loving friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary (LoPresti) Kashnowski and his parents Edmund and Anna.
Ernie was a loving husband, proud father of 3 children, an honored Army veteran, and had been retired from Lucent technologies for 37 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family in festive times of celebration, vacations, and holidays. He truly enjoyed his role as “Papa” in a loving family, providing lighthearted humor everywhere he went. He was the life of the party andd will be missed by his family and friends.
He leaves behind his 3 children, Martin (Linda) Kashnowski, Judy (Joel) Turk, Richard (Susanna) Kash. 8 grandchildren: Dan ( Angela ) Turk, Diana (Justin) Wolf, Kari (Tom) Kolicko, Brooke ( Ryan) Walker, Katelyn Kashnowski, Jenna Kash, Lyndsay Kash, Jack Kash, an 6 great grandchildren: Nina, Asher, Evan, Lilah, Kash, and Brayden.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 14th, 10:30 am. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Crane Rd. in St. Charles, IL. Private burial to follow.
