With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Anthony Friedley on September 11, 2026, at the age of 50.

Eric had a huge heart, a contagious laugh, and a way of making people feel included. Music was a big part of who he was, and those who knew him will remember the personality, humor, and energy he brought wherever he went.

Above all, Eric was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children, Anthony, Ari, and Nic; his parents, Mary and Lou Lomber; and his siblings, Andrea (Jeff) Fritz and Cameron (Jenny) Friedley. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Westphal.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eric’s life on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 3:00–9:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 S. Bartlett Road, Bartlett, Illinois. Please join us in sharing stories, remembering the good times, and honoring Eric in the way he would want to be remembered.
