Eric “Swede” Bernhardson, 85 formerly of Chicago, veteran of World War II. Beloved husband of the late Betty Jean nee Rust; Loving father of Dorie (Brian) Adamczyk, Lynn (Steve) Vitez, the late Erik John aka Rick. Dear grandfather of David, Jamie, Jenna, Joey, Steven, Jason, Nicole, and the late Jeff. Cherished great grandfather of Kaitlyn, Ashley, Michael, Morgan, and Kyla. Fond brother of Frannie, and Lil. Visitation Friday, September 24, 2010 from 3:00-9:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday 11:00am. Following services cremation private at the Countryside Crematory.
