Emory Mockbee, 82, of Hoffman Estates; beloved husband of Josephine nee Butera; loving father of Diane (Jim) Karras, Karen (Michael) O’Dowd, Susan Mika, Steven Mockbee and Michael (Dawn) Mockbee; caring grandfather of Katherine (Jonathan), Deanna, Kelly, Anne, Sarah and Alyssa and great grandfather of Keegan, Riley and Junah; fond brother of the late Eunice, Verna and Dolores; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Emory was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 1 for 56 years, a Shriner at Medinah Temple, a member of the Palatine Mason’s Lodge, a member of American Legion Post 1983 and Past Vice President of the Illinois Women’s Soccer League.

Visitation Tuesday June 16, 2015 3:00pm until time of service 8:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Burial will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Medinah Shriners Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
