Emma Schlueter (nee Fritzler), 98, of Hanover Park, died January 3, 2016. Born to Fred and Mary Fritzler (nee Albrandt) October 18, 1917 in Chicago and raised in Sterling, Colorado, the oldest of nine siblings. Emma thoroughly enjoyed crocheting, her skillful talent allowed her to create beautifully designed pieces. Emma dedicated much of what she made to local hospitals and hospices. To her grandchildren, Emma’s warm and inviting home became the very definition of holiday gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her family. Beloved wife of the late Ernest, loving mother of Allen (Renee) and the late Larry (Carol); cherished Grandma of Gary, Eileen (Roy), Peggy (Jeff), Kristine (Steve) and Kimberly; dear great grandma of Michael, Meghan, Brian, T.J., Maggie, Charlie, Alexander, Sophia, Peggy and Jack. Cherished sister of Paul, Irma and the late Henry, Fredrick, Alexander, Harold, Catherine and Harry. Lying in state 9:30a.m. until time of service 10:30a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. John EV. Lutheran Church, 1800 S Rodenburg, Schaumburg. Interment Bluff City Cemetery. Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Roselle. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church or Alzheimer's Association, ALZ.org would be appreciated.
