EJ (Elmer John) Scott, age 92 of Schaumburg, IL passed peacefully on June 6, 2014. EJ was born March 30, 1922 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, raised in Sparta, Michigan the son of the late I. Sumner Scott and Leila (Hughes) and loving husband of 66 years of the late Mary Jane “Midge” (Fisher) Scott, loving father of Jeffrey (Patricia) and Michael, brother to 2 sisters and 4 brothers and Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

EJ is a veteran of World War II, where he proudly served with the US Navy submarine service on the USS. Bonefish, and USS. Jack. EJ was also a member of the Chicago District Council of Carpenters Union for over 32 years and a member of District 211 School District Maintenance Carpenters for more than 10 years. EJ loved being a carpenter and had a great attention to detail. He also loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday June 14, 2014 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of memorial service 1:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road, Roselle, IL.
