Ellen Lee Mann, 86, of South Elgin, formerly Bartlett, died Thursday, June 20, 2024 at home with family. Born January 30, 1938 in Chicago. Ellen was a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she was a member of the Sigma-Kappa-Gamma Zeta Sorority. She got her degree in education and was an art teacher at Mannheim Junior High School for many years. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, knitting, quilting and paper mâché, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. Beloved mom of Andra (Darren) Hendle; loving grandma of Shaun and Derek Kupinski; cherished daughter of the late Leroy “Lee” and Anna Hansen; and kind sister of the late Diane Lee Nelson. Memorial visitation 3:00pm to 8:00pm with a service at 5:30pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, would be appreciated.
