Elizabeth Baumbach

September 3, 1961 — April 15, 2021

Elizabeth A. Baumbach (nee:Roberts). Loving mother of Cody (Erica) Baumbach, Monica Baumbach and Heather Baumbach (Alex Rojas); dear grandmother of Brooklynn, Isabella, Mariella, AJ and Ayden; caring daughter of Jane and the late Walter Roberts Sr.; fond sister of Terry (Bill) Bucher, Sheila (Wayne) Ralston, Walter Jr. (Carmella) Roberts, Judy (David) Drewes and Steven (Laura) Roberts.

Liz was the absolute best mother anyone could ask for. She loved her children with all her heart and did everything in her power to give them the best memories. She played such a huge role in all 3 of her children’s life’s. When Liz became a Nana she took on her new role with so much love and dedication. To say her grandbabies were obsessed with her is an understatement and the feeling was mutual. She lived for her babies. She would do absolutely anything for her kids and grandkids.

Liz grew up in a loving family of 8! She was 1 of 6 children and boy do they have some of the best stories to tell. The love they share is unbreakable and the bond they have will last forever. The way Liz was raised and the love she received by her amazing parents made her a loving, generous, caring, strong and fun women.

Liz lived her life to the fullest. She was an amazing friend to all and had a heart of gold. When Liz was around, you knew you were going to have a good time. She had an infectious laugh, an amazing sense of humor and a tell it like it is attitude. The friends she made were for a lifetime. Liz enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Summertime was full of festing every weekend, swimming, having patio parties - enjoying a cold one on a warm summer day with her was such a treasure. Fall included pumpkin farms and zoo trips. Anything to make sure we were all together and all having fun. Winter was for Friday Jr’s and crafting with family. Between all this there were so many themed parties, birthdays and get together that Liz would do anything she could to help out and make sure everyone had a great time.

Liz was always a very hard worker. Working 2 jobs for the last 15+ years was like nothing to her. She did what she had to do and she enjoyed it all. She worked for Lou Malnati‘s as a server part time and although she still didn’t know where to find things after 10 years she was still one of the best! Her personality and strive to always have fun really showed. Her full time job was working for the Elk Grove Village Police Department. She worked for them for over 20 years. Her dedication and hard work helped her work her way up from a part time desk employee to a full time CSO. She made so many lifelong friends throughout her work life. They all played an important role in her life and she made impacts on theirs as well. Making each day the best day it could be.

Liz will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. She made this world better and it will never be the same without her. When you think of Liz, remember her laugh and smile and desire to always have fun and be happy. Have a cold one for her.
