Eleanor Wykle

Eleanor A. Wykle, 96, died January 31, 2012. Born July 11, 1915 in Chicago. Eleanor was artistic in many ways including water colors and ceramics. She even had work featured at the Art Institute of Chicago. Eleanor also enjoyed playing cards but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with the family. Beloved wife to the late James. Loving mother to late Pat (Alan) Stelzer, Jim (Peggy), Peter (the late Sue), Mary Beth (Gerard) Roberts, Tom (Barbara) , Anne Marie (Bill) Bell; cherished grandmother to Vince, Danny, Karen (Ron), Tom (Melissa), Bill (Cheryl), Jenny (Sam), Joren, Maya, Eric (Laura), Brittany and Jamie; dear great-grandmother to Hannah, Meaghan, Thomas, Taylor, Lauren, Molly, Nicholas, Allie and Kennedy; dear daughter to the late John and Teresa (nee Czokay) Braun and sister to seven late brothers and sisters; caring and sister-in-law to Joseph “Virgle” Gray and Lorraine Brown. Visitation Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Friday 9:15a.m. going to St. Peter Damian Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, would be appreciated.
