Eleanor "Ellie" C. Sirrell, nee Cannon, 96, wife of the late Monty; mother to her Beloved son Terry (late Eileen), Grandma to her Cherished Granddaughter Flynn. Eileen Sirrell is survived by her sisters: Sheila (Frank) Verkamp, Carol Joyce, Kathy (Ray) Bartley and, brothers: Ed (late Strid) and Mike (Katie) Joyce. Ellie was the sister of the late James (Virginia) Cannon and the late Louise Temme; aunt of Duane (Jill) Temme. Eleanor was a special woman. Having been raised in Wilson, North Carolina -- She could best be described as a true Southern Belle - someone with class, charm and manners. Having worked as a Florist, Ellie appreciated the beauty of all kinds of flowers. Later in life -- she also worked hard as a waitress at restaurants in Glenview and Morton Grove. She was always encouraging and supportive. More than anything, her granddaughter Flynn, brought her a tremendous amount of joy and pride. She left a big impact on a lot of people and will be missed by many who knew her. A chapel service will be held at Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714, will be held on Saturday, May 22nd at 11:00 am.. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
