Eleanor Kiriluk, a beloved resident of Streamwood, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on Tuesday, June 28th, 1927, in Illinois, Eleanor lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family, friends, and nature.
A devoted mother, Eleanor is lovingly remembered by her children: Linda (David) Gramenz, Susan (Charles) Miceli, and Peter (Laura) Kiriluk. She was a proud grandmother to Robert, Michael (Barb), Kristen (Alex), and Kyle, and a cherished great-grandmother to Brittany, Bobby, Joe, Henry, Hannah, and five adopted great-grandchildren and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is also survived by her sister, Joan and sister-in-law Sonia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Koscielny, her beloved spouse, Robert Kiriluk of 46 years, and her sisters Dorothy, Evelyn, and Mary Ann.
Eleanor had a zest for life, evident in her love for word searches, daily jigsaw puzzling, and avid reading. She found joy in feeding the wildlife around her home and was an enthusiastic viewer of Hallmark movies and musicals. Her days were a celebration of the simple pleasures and the beauty of everyday moments.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eleanor's remarkable life at a Celebration of Life gathering, which will be held at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Bartlett, Bartlett, IL, on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at the same location from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
Eleanor touched many lives with her warmth and kindness. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
