Elaine Shepherd

In loving memory of Mrs. Elaine F. Shepherd; a loving wife and mother and a great friend to many. Elaine passed away on May 26, 2017 at the age of 79 leaving her husband Vernon, her son Michael Blair, her daughter-in-law Diana Blair, wife of her late son Quinton, her cousins Howard Roberts and Howard Busch, her best friend Geraldine Barnes and many other friends and relatives.

While raised in the Catholic Church, Elaine was later baptized into the Baptist faith by the late W.N. Daniels of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago. She resided the last 20 years in Hanover Park, IL and was an avid gardener and member of the Tri-Village Garden Club in Streamwood until ill health forced her retirement. Vernon and Elaine traveled extensively, visiting Hawaii, Europe and Canada before her health curtailed her mobility. She loved people and was a generous contributor to many charities.

We mourn her loss but celebrate her life and wish her God's speed to a better life to come.
