Elaine F. Davis (nee Fleishman), 86, of Hanover Park, died Friday, November 3, 2017. Born August 14, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA. Beloved wife of 65 years to Saul; loving mom of twins Randi (John Vivacqua) and Russ (Laura), Laurie (Rob) Johnson and Gary (Luzanne); cherished grandma of Kimberly (Chris) Tunzi, Mark, Sarah and Jacob and caring great-grandma of Kendall; kind daughter of the late Harry and Rose Fleishman and sister of the late Frances, Elmer, Norman, Sam and Janet (Milton).
Elaine dedicated her life to raising a family to whom she passed on a joy of reading, music and an orderly house. She loved games and puzzles, with a special fondness for scrabble and crosswords. She was a constant presence cheering on her family at sporting and academic activities. Elaine will be remembered as a courageous warrior against cancer; a fun and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Visitation Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 3 pm to 7 pm with a service immediately following at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood/Schaumburg.
