Eileen Reinert

Eileen Emily Reinert (nee Host), 91, of Elgin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family February 14, 2015. Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Steve (Roma) and Sue (Hank) Cooley; proud grandmother of Grant and Jourdan Cooley; cherished sister of the late Gloria (Jack) Lennartz and the late Barbara (Frank) Ward. She will also be missed by her very compassionate care giver Jasmin Hernandez.

Eileen was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. John’s Ladies Aid, the Elgin Women’s Club and formerly a member of the Sherman Hospital Auxiliary. Eileen had worked for U46 school district as a secretary for many years and retired from Elgin Mental Center as the office coordinator in 1991.

Visitation for Eileen Wednesday February 18, 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at Middle Street) South Elgin. Lying in state Thursday 9:30a.m. until the time of service 10:30a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church 101 N. Spring Street, Elgin. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to St. John Lutheran Church 101 N. Spring Street, Elgin, IL 60120 would be appreciated.
