Edward F. Villella of South Elgin; beloved husband of 52 years to Betty (nee Ostdick); loving father of Joseph (Conni), Susan (Jaime) Leyva, Nancy (Joe) VanDenBosch and David (partner Tony); cherished grandfather of Sheree (Brian), Kristen (Michal), Joseph, Nicholas, Emma and Grace; dear brother of the late Ada (James) Olinger and the late Michelena; son of the late Joseph and Rose (nee Folino).
He retired after 48 years of dedicated service for the Milwaukee Railroad, he was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He served in the US Army in the Korean War, stationed in Germany.
Visitation Sunday 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St. (at Middle St.) South Elgin. Funeral Monday, 10:00 a.m. to St. Mary Church. Mass 11:00 a.m. following mass cremation will be at the Countryside Crematory.
In lieu of flowers donations to the South Elgin Fire Protection District 150 W. State St, South Elgin, IL 60177 would be appreciated.
