Ed was a truly unique man. He viewed the world as his classroom - taking every opportunity to learn and to teach. An eternal optimist. A Cubs season ticket holder for 40 years (9th row - 1st base side). The type of person who made things happen. His encouraging words and engaging conversation will be missed by all. Highly educated yet humble, driven to succeed yet modest in his accomplishments. He worked on the Manhattan Project, taught mechanical drawing at Illinois Benedictine University. Proud founder of Advance Dial Company (1958-1989) which developed plastic molding. Ed also developed the THI/m weather instrument. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family. Trips to their Lake Geneva house, Florida condo and Eagle River always meant more when spent with family and friends and rarely a trip was taken without a batch of hard boiled eggs.
