Edward Smith

Edward L. Smith 83, passed away early Saturday morning May 28th. Ed was a devoted husband and father that lived in Schaumburg for the last 50 years. Before his retirement Ed worked as an auto mechanic for over 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 1959 to Feb. 1962, where he was stationed in South Korea. He enjoyed fishing & gardening, whenever he wasn't working, and always had the most perfect yard. Ed was also all the dogs in the neighborhoods best friend, he always had a treat ready to give.

Edward is survived by his wife Brigitte, sons Mark and Mike, daughter in laws Renate & Leslie, his sister Marilyn Benzie, grandchildren, Dane, Shayna, Garrett, Mason, Randy, Ryan and great grandchild Aria, as well as multiple nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Bill, Betty, Marion, Helen, Dick, Jerry, Joe and his beloved pups, Fluffy, Tasha, Sparky & Cinder.
