Edgar Tomlinson

Edgar E. Tomlinson Jr. born August 17th 1945 son of Edgar E. Tomlinson Sr. and Florence (Kazcmarek) Tomlinson. He was the oldest of seven children - Cynthia (an angel in heaven), Cheryl Benson (spouse Gary), Cathy Sherwood (spouse Paul), Dennis (Michael Raul), Deborah Bartels, Ronald. Just an ordinary child living a typical life until his senior year of high school when he joined Junior Achievement and by happenstance met the love of his life Pat (Kaiser) Tomlinson. In the beginning he was working and going to school but life called him to fatherhood. The father of four children Paul (spouse Kiesha), Andrew (girlfriend Kerry Hagemann), Linda McHone (spouse Kevin), and Matthew. With fatherhood came hide and seek, coaching little league, fishing with his boys, taking trips with the family, and square dancing with friends and family. As the family grew in size Ed and Pat would go on trips until they bought their lake house. Life was always exciting at the lake; when the grandchildren were old enough he would take them tubing with the intent of launching them off the tube. The family grew until there were 17 grandkids. Oldest to youngest Corynn, Sadie, Eric, Marisa (spouse Christopher), Trevor (spouse Alisa), Jonathan,, Madison, Kayla, Travis, Chloe, Autumn, Cory, Aiden, (our angel in heaven), Kelis, and Gabriel. He was truly blessed with an enormous amount of friends, his wife Pat of 54+ years, his children, and his grandchildren.
Visitation Friday 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 215 Thomas More Dr, Elgin, IL 60123 until time of his mass 11:00 am. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following his mass. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 would be appreciated.
