Dorothy Menke

Dorothy Rose Menke, 88, of Des Plaines for most of her life, died Friday, August 14, 2015. Born December 12, 1926, Dorothy was a proud graduate of Steinmetz High School and was a realtor for Baird & Warner for many years. She enjoyed flowers and art and won many awards for her pressed flower pictures. Dorothy will be missed by her family. Beloved mom of Cathy (Bruce) Werner, Thomas, Todd (Valerie) and James (Bozena “Bo”); loving grandma of 15 and the late Lauren; cherished great grandma of 8; dear daughter of the late Armand Sr and Dorothy (nee Gardner) Moens; caring sister of Mary Jane Austensen, Armand (Carol Ann) Moens Jr, Caryl Lynn (Doug) Roberts and several nieces and nephews. A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter Damian Church. Arrangements and cremation by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett.
