Dorothy Durkin

Dorothy Mae Durkin, 95, of Schaumburg died June 25, 2018. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Roth and the late Frank Durkin; she was the loving mother of Raymond (Pearl), Don, Ken, John, Jeff Roth and Pam (Denny) Pelarinos; proud grandmother of Cameron (Dave) Hahn, Randy (Charla), Brett, Dan, Jackie, Bill, Doug (Nicole) Roth, Kelly (Dan) Huss, Tom and Andrew Pelarinos; dear great grandmother of Abigail, Bryce and William Roth; fond sister of the late Raymond Marzs; beloved aunt of Maureen Washburn, Neil, Patrick Rogers and many more. She will be missed by many friends.

She was like a second mom to many of her children's friends through her many years that we were blessed to have her. She was a devout member of many Catholic churches in her lifetime, including, St. John Brebeuf, St. Thecla, and finally St. Marcelline. She was born in Chicago. She was a hard working woman that devoted her life to being a giving mother. Until her final breath, she was making sure her son John would be taken care of.

Visitation Friday, June 29, 3:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday, 9:15am to St. Marcelline Church Mass 10:00am Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
