Dorothy Berger

Dorothy M. Berger (nee Prehm), 90, of Elgin, formerly of Bartlett and Streamwood, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021. Dorothy loved her family more than anything else but she also enjoyed flowers, watching children play and eating chocolate. Dorothy spent many years of her life working for Osco Drug in Elgin working the camera counter. She spent countless hours as a room mother and PTA volunteer. She will be missed.

Beloved wife of the late George; loving mother of Jeff (Mary), Craig (Rita) and Dan (Gail); dear grandmother of Carrie, Andrew (Marina), Sarah, Jill and Brian; sister of Lorah (Wetzel) and the late Elmer (Prehm).

A family celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
