Dorothy Accorsi

Dorothy J. Accorsi, 95, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away on October 29, 2025 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born February 11, 1930 in Northland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Lonnen) Johnson. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominic, her parents and all nine of her siblings.

Dorothy had three children, Wanda Accorsi Milne, (William Milne), Cynthia Runta, (Jerry Runta) and Mark Accorsi. She is survived by six grandchildren, Kristin Milne Abraham (Paul), Jeffrey Milne (Katie), Nicholas Milne (Cheryl), Jason Runta (Keely), Jessica Hufford (Paul) and Shanique Accorsi. Surviving great grandchildren include, William and Whitney Abraham, Holly Hufford, Emersyn and Avery Milne, and Brody Milne.

Dorothy lived a full and long life surrounded by her three children, six grandchildren and six great grand-children. She enjoyed working outside on her property and took great joy in watching her beloved Chicago Bears and Bulls.

A memorial service will be held at a later date when out of town family can be present. She will be buried next to her husband, Dominic, who predeceased her on February 29, 1976.
