Doris Diehl

Doris Mae Diehl, 88, of Elgin, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025. Born September 27, 1936, in Turtle Lake, ND. An avid Cubs and Blackhawks fan. Doris was many things throughout life. She was a dental assistant for TR Ferguson in Chicago, a waitress at Q’s Restaurant in Hillside, owner of B&D Travel in Glen Ellyn with her husband and volunteered often helping seniors and those with special needs. She also really enjoyed being a Lunchroom Supervisor for St Charles School District 303 for 19 years but what she loved above all else was being a mom and grandma. Beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mom of Dawn (Keith) Kueker, Bob Diehl, Michael (Roma) Diehl and Kathleen (Jan) Sawicki; cherished grandma of Shannon (Chris), Denise (Rob), Breann (Dan), Rebecca (Scott), Robert, Brendan, Jason, Christopher and Lindsay; dear great grandma of Abbey, Anna, Ava, Alexis, Jordan, Anthony, Nicolas, Samuel, Elizabeth, Hailey, Jack and great-great grandma of Addie, Nicky, Greyson and Hudson; kind daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Grabinger; fond sister of the late Alice, Elmer "Junior" , Mildred "Tootie", Emma Jean "Jean" and aunt to many. Visitation 10:00am until time of Mass 11:00am at Corpus Christi Church, 1415 W Lies Rd, Carol Stream on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
