Donna Kramer

Donna Kramer (nee Greve), 72, a lifelong resident of Elgin, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 23, 2021. Born August 15, 1948. Donna was a vibrant woman, an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing. She loved all animals and her love of helping others led her to volunteering at Rosewood Nursing Home for over 25 years. She was a very giving person who loved to make people happy and most of all she loved being with her family. She was proud to have been in the first graduating class to go all four years at Larkin High School. She is deeply missed by her family and friends. Beloved wife of 45 years of Steve; loving mom of Cory and Katie; cherished granny of Alice and Gavin; caring daughter of the late Ervin and Veronica Greve (nee Engelking); kind sister of Dorothy (Dave) Haacker and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm, Saturday August 14, 2021 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St. (At State St), South Elgin. As most of you will know, Donna loved all things colorful, especially tie-dye. We ask that you please plan on wearing something bright/colorful to her services in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Anti Cruelty Society, www.anticruelty.org, would be appreciated.
