Donna Janis

Donna Jean Janis (nee Hoffelt), 81, of Elgin, was born November 27, 1941 in Chicago, and passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Donna Graduated from St. Michael’s Catholic High School in 1959. Donna enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Robert G. Janis; loving mom of Denise (Steve) Millar, Robert R. and Tracey (Steve) Walczak; cherished Nana of Todd (Megan) and Tara Millar, Kyle and Cody O'Neill, Katie (Jeff) Berrios and great Nana of Gunner, Evelyn, Cash, Scarlett, Matthew and Tucker; dear daughter of the late Roy J. and Helen (nee Beltrani) Hoffelt; kind sister of the late Donald J. Hoffelt, caring sister-in-law of Geri (Robert) Janis-Birr, Christopher (Deborah) Janis and the late Michael (Ginny) Janis; fond aunt of Brad, Dave, Andy, Trish and Teresa. Memorial visitation 10:00a.m. until time of memorial service 11:30 a.m. Saturday January 14, 2023 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
