Donald Hillenmayer formerly of Arlington Heights and Stuart, FL; beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Lamothe); loving father of Janet (Jim) Nawoj, Jim (Wendy) and Ann (Fred) Morris; cherished grandfather of Charles (Heather) Nawoj, Allison (Dave) Kaplan, Katie Morris, Colleen (Will Johnson) Morris and Kent Morris; proud great grandfather of Lotus and Violet Johnson and Grant Nawoj: dear brother of Joan (Herky) Mathiason and Jean (the late Jack) Raabe; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Donald flew B-24 Bombers in the Army Air Corp in WWII, he had a distinguished career with NY Life and Allstate Insurance Company. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, an active member of Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Arlington Heights. In his retirement he settled in Stuart, FL. with his wife of 65 years. He played the viola in various symphonies and loved to travel. For the past five years he resided at Clare Oaks Retirement Community in Bartlett, IL.
Memorial Visitation Friday, July 18th 9:30 a.m. until the time of Memorial Mass 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel at Clare Oaks, 825 Carillon Dr, Bartlett. In lieu of flowers donations to Catholic Charities, 721 N. LaSalle, Chicago, IL 60654, www.catholiccharties.net would be appreciated. Arrangements and cremation by Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, Bartlett.
