Donald Donnelly

Donald James Donnelly found peace February 16, 2010, 2 days after his 69th birthday at his home in Carol Stream after a 4 ½ year battle with lung cancer.
Don was born February 14, 1941 in Chicago to Bernard and Alma (nee Johnson) Donnelly. Nothing made Don happier than going golfing with his son Don and good friend Georgio. He was also an awesome cook and one of his great pleasures was having cookouts and inviting all the neighbors. Don worked for Pro Mold and Die in Roselle for 20 plus years as their first computer expert in Design.
Don was the beloved husband and partner of Marilea Moore Donnelly; loving father of 6 children, Donald Donnelly, Michelle (John) Rideway, Danine (Todd) Rickman, Nicole Donnelly, Vicki (Bruce) Hartman, Patti (Jochen) Arnold; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; sister Lin Lorenz and brothers Ronald (Dee) and Fred Donnelly. Don also leaves his canine buddy Mickey who loved sitting in his daddy’s lap.
Waiting for him in heaven are his parents and his much loved granddaughter Krystal Lynn Diehl who left us in 2002.
Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service 3 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns rd), Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CNS Hospice, 690 E. North Ave, Carol Stream, IL 60188
