Donald B. "Don" Doemling, 94, a life long resident of the area, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025. Don was a consummate educator and was known as a devout handyman/do it yourselfer. He was an avid traveler who enjoyed astronomy, hiking, and gardening. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (nee Becker) and the late Marjorie (nee Haase); loving father of Beth (Kevin) O'Brien and Walter Doemling, and step father of James (Rachel) Cletcher and the late Margaret Canada; proud grandfather of Kathleen, Maura, and Erin O'Brien, Brandi (Rick) Karch, and step grandfather of Matthew (Arathi) Canada and Kim Hoehler; cherished son of the late Walter and the late Margaret (nee Hohl) Doemling; dear brother of the late Walter Doemling, the late Rita (the late Len) Higgins, the late Mary Lois (the late Joe) Michelsen, the late Joan (the late Rich) Bernier, and the late Elaine (the late Ed) Littel; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; devoted Dog Dad of Charlie. Visitation Friday, October 31 from 10:00am until time of Mass 11:00am at St. Peter Damian Church 131 S. Crest Ave., Bartlett, IL. Interment St Michael Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
