Donald Arbeen, 72, of Hanover Park died of natural causes on July 4, 2020. Born November 24, 1947 in Berwyn, IL Donald most enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Donald spent some time working for Lorillard Tobacco Company until he decided to switch careers and become a truck driver. Donald enjoyed the feeling of freedom driving a truck offered and was a Union Teamster driver for more than 25 years, retiring at the age of 66. Married in 1970 and celebrating 50 years of marriage this year; Donald is survived by his wife Mary Arbeen. Beloved Dad to Kimberly Abatangelo, the late Timothy Arbeen and the late Christopher Arbeen. Proud grandfather to Dominic Abatangelo, Tyler Arbeen and MacKenzie Arbeen; Donald took time to attend sporting events regularly for his grandchildren and teach them to fish and enjoy boating. Donald is also survived by his sister Susan Williams of St. Louis MO. Passing before him were his parents Harold and Nellie Arbeen (nee Ferris) and sister Jeannie Brown. Donald is also survived by many close friends who will miss him dearly. A kind, honest, hard-working man of strength; instilling quality moral and respectable values to his children and grandchildren, he is very much loved for the exponential good he put into this world.
