Obituary for Dominique L. Kampy (51) “Dom”
Dominique passed away at his Streamwood, Illinois home peacefully on January 27th, 2019. Dominique was born on December 24th, 1967, to Joseph and Christel Kampy at Grant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dominique was a wonderful man who lived to serve others. He nursed his ailing father in their home until his passing, he took great care of his mother Christel, providing for her needs and did so lovingly. He was a gentle soul that loved his animals and loved to joke around and laugh, he had an infectious smile and caring spirit. He loved music and was an avid gamer. From February 2000, he worked at District U-46 as transportation school bus driver and he loved his job taking care of the kids.
He is the beloved brother of Judith Levenson (Joel), Frank Kampy (Carol), Joseph Kampy II, Tanja Fester (Charles) and Sister in-law Karen Kampy. Dominique will be forever loved by his nieces, Trinity Levenson, Michaela Anderson, Nicole Kampy, Shawna Derkson, Kristina Fuller, Brittany Fester, Courtney Przybylski, and Jennifer Handelsman. And his nephews, Jaimie Kampy, Adam Levenson, Frank Kampy II, Bryan Kampy and many great nieces, nephews and cousins. He is the beloved nephew of Otmar Pabst (Helga) of Rossdorf, Germany, and cousin of Daniela and Miriam.
He will also be missed dearly by his cats “Leo” and “Shadow”.
Dominique was preceded in death by his father Joseph Kampy Sr., his sister Michaela Kampy, and his grandmother Anna Pabst.
He will be greatly missed by his entire family, co-workers, students, friends and neighbors. We love you Dom.
