Dominic Verive

Dominic A. Verive, 82, of Bartlett, formerly of South Elgin died January 18, 2010.
Born September 3, 1927 in Melrose Park. He was the son of Joseph and Antoinette, nee Degrazia. A veteran of the Korean War era having served in both the Navy and the Army. He graduated from MSM with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Dominic was a former member of the Knights of Columbus; he also enjoyed golfing, watching the White Sox and talking politics. He especially enjoyed being with family.
Survivors include wife Bernice, nee Nelson; sons Greg, Jeff (Lisa), Mike (Nancy) and Tony; grandchildren Nicole, Matthew, Miranda and Jessica; sister Mary Alessi and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters Pasquale, Rocco, Angie and Lucille.
Visitation will be Friday January 22, 2010 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Saturday 8:45 a. m. to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 9:30 a. m. Interment Queen of Heaven. Memorials to the family for a fund to be established would be appreciated.
