Dianne Scheck
Dianne M. Scheck, a former resident of Roselle, passed away Oct. 10, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dr. Robert E. Scheck D.D.S., who died in 2022 and operated a dental practice in Itasca for many years. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Scheck (2020) and Robert C. Scheck (2023) as well as Robert’s longtime partner, Patricia Quinlan (2025), who served as Dianne’s caregiver after Dr. Scheck’s death. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Scheck and Lisen (Theodore) Krueger.
Dianne, the daughter of Bror and Marguerite Swanson, was raised in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago and graduated high school from Longwood Academy. Dianne taught for a few years in Milwaukee after graduating with a teaching degree from Marquette University, where she met her future husband. They eventually started a family and raised their four children in Roselle. Dianne loved nature and gardening, and enjoyed many golfing and vacation trips with her husband to Costa Rica, Florida and New Mexico.
Her interment will be next to her husband and son Michael at St. Michael The Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. Her family may hold a memorial at a later date, and Dianne will be remembered at masses held at Saint Walter Catholic Church in Roselle, and at Saint John Fisher Roman Catholic Church in Beverly, where she grew up.
Dianne was thankful for her supportive caregivers and friends at Smith Village in Chicago, and also the staff at Elevate Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in Dianne’s memory or donate to a charity of your choice.
