Diane Childress

Diane M. Childress, nee Baldi, of South Elgin, formerly of Chicago and Sleepy Hollow; cherished wife of Ernie; beloved mom of Kerri (Scott) Brummel, Kelli Childress and John (Renee); loving grandma of Matt, Kate, Morgan, Nathan, Allison, Lauren, Andrew and Sara; dear daughter of the late Harry and Emma Baldi, nee Rigon. Diane enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and cooking (especially Italian food). Throughout her health issues, due to diabetes, she never complained, had a great attitude and continued to put others always before herself. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, cheering every minute of every sporting event they were involved in. Visitation Tuesday, November 21st, 3:00 pm until time of service 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St.(at Middle St.) South Elgin. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following services.
